Emilia - 1 year

"What are little girls made of?
Sugar, spice and everything nice."

Kids are unpredictable.  I have learned a couple things while doing photos of toddlers.  They usually last through about 45 minutes of photo taking.  Get the important pictures done first!  They move, fast.  So be prepared and have a quick shutter speed!  There are an endless variety of faces and expressions that they make.  Each is as wonderfully unexpected as the next!  Most importantly, I've learned that they are the most fun busy you'll ever have!

Oh Ms Em!  You are your momma through and through!  You're feisty and full of energy and make me giggle to tears!  While still crawling I had to run to keep up with you!  Your momma was thinking when she took the rocking horse she used to play with and how fun to see you sit and read yourself a book!  You are growing up so fast!  I cannot wait to see what's in store for this spunky sweetheart!

Lyndse & Ryan

"Love is a symbol of eternity.
It wipes out all sense of time,
destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end."

With each engagement shoot I learn about a new couple, their story, their shared passions.  I feel like, each time, I fall in love with their love story.  With a fairly "Switzerland" exterior, I will always cave, give into my girly genetics and side with the love story.  That is always what I hope to portray in the photos.  Not so much two individuals standing together in a field with a beautifully painted backdrop.  But, rather, a love story in what seems to be at its peak, waiting to take its next step.

You two are a beautiful pair and hilarious to boot.  You kept me guessing and I guess I kept you kissing!  (Sorry Ryan!)  You two handled the 95 degree heat with style and made this such a fun shoot!  From the green stilettos and little black dress, to the guns and camo you gave these photos some serious variety!  Although, I must admit, my favorite addition was Angus!  Well done you two!  Bring on the April festivities!

Hannah Delaney

"A baby makes love stronger,
the days shorter,
the nights longer,
savings smaller,
clothes dirtier,
and a home happier."

The start to each life is different and unique.  No two stories are the same.  I've heard many over the years and seen all of the changes this little life brings.  But no one story as unique and intelligently designed as this.  The planned, unplanned, fears, hopes, surprises, dreams,  tears and so much more all poured over this seven pound miracle.  The ups and downs all worth the ride despite the twists and turns you never expected.  It is a privilege to capture the start of this beautiful life and all of the lives she has forever changed.

Welcome to the world sweet baby girl.  I'm amazed at your early attentive eyes and melt at your heartbreaking whimper.  You are the picture of a blessing in so many un thought of ways.  A blank slate with so many possibilities.  Although, I'm sure somewhere on that blank slate is written "Twins Fan" and "Fisher".  You have the rest of your life to become as amazing as we all know you will be.
One thing that is for sure...
Sweet Hannah, you are loved by so many.

Matt, Sheila & Buddy

"Our Family
Is a circle of strength;
Founded on faith, joined in love,
Kept by God, together forever."

Making sessions great means getting to know personalities and, in turn, being able to show that in the photos that you take.  And who better a subject than your own family.

I'm a sucker for this sweet little family!  Ok, so I'm a sucker for the dog and kind of stuck with the other two! ;)  I'm so blessed to call you guys family.  You are amazing people apart and even better together. I can't imagine having a better brother and sister-in-law.  You make this photographer look good!  Love you guys!  You too Buddy!

Dalton

"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who'll decide where you go."
-Dr Seuss

Each dream is different.  Each goal has its own set of challenges and trials, and thank goodness.  If all were the same, life would be far less interesting!

Your laugh and light-hearted spirit made this day a blast, Dalton!  Thank you for being so carefree and talkative.  I hope that you achieve all you set out to do!  Your likable and positive attitude will get you a very long way.  Go get 'em Dalton!  You're sure to make a difference wherever you go!

Brooklyn

"Do not spoil what you have by desiring for what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

There is always that grade school activity where the teacher asks you to write down where you'll be when you're 15, 25, 35, etc years old.  It's amazing to look back and see your younger self's version of success.  No matter your aspirations when you were ten or what they are now, I hope you become exactly who you want to be.

Brooklyn, we definitely sweat our way through this shoot!  With temps in the 90's and bright sunshine we toughed through and got some really great photos with you, your mom and the pups.  You are such a bright and beautiful girl!  I hope that you become all that you hope for and work hard to get to exactly where you want to be.  Thank you for a fun shoot!
